Our advanced navigation training, is developed for those who have some or more roadbook navigation experience, but still want to upgrade there navigation.
During rally riding navigation errors can cost you lots of time.
In our advanced course we will help you with tips and tricks to upgrade your navigation skills.
Who should attend?
This course is designed for riders who are familiar with the roadbook basics and want to train towards a more advanced level. Waypoints, Caps, and rally specific roadbook notes; you’ll get to know them all. It’s perfect for those who want to prepare themself for their first rally experience.
What to bring?
Aside from your enthusiasm and a good mood, you’ll need your motorcycle (roadworthy with registration and valid TÜV) and standard riding gear. If you already have a roadbook setup on your bike, that’s great! But if not, you can easily rent one from us. Just remember, we’ll be riding on public roads, so your bike must be street-legal and in good condition. You are responsible for ensuring this. If your bike is equipped with roadbook navigation setup that’s great, otherwise a smartphone, or tablet mounted on your bike is sufficient (preferably controllable by remote buttons). Or you can rent your navigation setup for the day. Let us know in advance what you will be using, so we can prepare to give you the best experience.
What’s included?
- A detailed information session covering all the key topics for beginners
- Hands-on equipment to explore: roadbook holders, tripmasters, Carpe Iter and more
- Lunch in our headquarters
- A 100 km roadbook ride – available as a paper roadbook or digital (Terrapirata)
- Coffee and soft drinks provided throughout the day
Time schedule:
- 9:00 – Arrival (Please arrive at 8:30 AM if you’re renting roadbook equipment, so we have time to take a look and prepare set up.)
- 9:30 – Seminar begins
- 12:15 – 13:15 – Lunch break and bike set up.
- 13:30 – 16:30 – Roadbook ride
- 16:30 – 17:30 – Q&A session, review, and a chance to explore the equipment in more detail
