Digital apps...
There are various roadbook apps availabe for presenting your roadbook. Many of them work with PDF, and add some instruments on top of the screen (DMD, Rally Navigator, Piste Roadbook...).
Even when digital might be the future for roadbook navigation, PDF still has its limits, especially in distribution and updating at last minute.
Terrapirata to the rescue?
One of the more professional apps available is "Rally Roadbook" by Terrapirata. This is very often used by event and rally organisers as it keeps distribution of roadbooks easy. And even has the possibility to update the roadbook at the very last minute.
Combine this with a simple interface with fully instrument support, and even a "dakar rally"-mode, and you have a winner !
That's one of the reasons why we are also working with Terrapirata for our roadbook events. On top of that, it even prepares you better for your first rally experience.
